Bayerische Motoren Werke AG Chart Analysis
Bayerische Motoren Werke AG Technical Analysis
The technical analysis of the BMW stock price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows #D-BMW,H4 is retracing down toward the 200-period moving average MA(200) after rebounding to eight-month high two days ago. RSI has formed a bearish divergence. We believe the bearish momentum will continue after the price breaches below the lower boundary of Donchian channel at 82.94. This level can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above 86.4. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved every day to the next fractal high , following Parabolic indicator signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level (86.4) without reaching the order (82.94), we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.
Fundamental Analysis of Stocks - Bayerische Motoren Werke AG
BMW stock price slipped after news the automaker will price-protect US dealers. Will the BMW stock price rebound?
Wall Street Journal reported yesterday BMW is telling US dealers it will absorb the added cost of new tariffs on its imports from Mexico, at least for the next several weeks. The impact of Trump tariffs on European auto stocks was negative. BMW stock sank as much as 5% on Friday amid reports that vehicles shipped by the company from Mexico might not comply with the United States Mexico and Canada Agreement (USMCA). Three days before that 25% tariffs against imports from Canada and Mexico went into effect. Analysts estimate tariffs imposed by the US will likely raise the price of new cars and trucks by as much as $12,000. BMW said it would "price protect" certain Mexican-built models that would be subject to tariffs - the 3 Series sedan and 2 Series coupe - until May 1. The auto maker has told that about 10% of BMW’s US sales are imported from Mexico. Higher auto prices after US import tariffs are bearish for BMW sales expectations and stock price.
