The technical analysis of the Apple stock price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows #S-AAPL, H4 is retesting the 200-period moving average MA(200) after retracing lower following rebound to three-week high twelve days ago. We believe the bearish momentum will continue after the price breaches below the lower boundary of Donchian channel at 216.95. This level can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above 225.35. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved every day to the next fractal high indicator, following Parabolic signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level (225.35) without reaching the order (216.95), we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

Apple launched its long-awaited, AI-boosted iPhone 16 on Monday. Apple hopes the new features would drive consumers to upgrade amid a slowdown in its smartphone sales, which account for more than half of its total sales. Comments on Weibo, China's X-like platform, indicate Chinese users are disappointed for its lack of artificial intelligence features in China: Apple has yet to announce an AI partner in China to power the 16s, and Apple Intelligence, the company's AI software, will be available in Chinese language only next year. Other users on Weibo compared Apple's launch with Huawei's three-way foldable smartphone that will be launched today. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will cost the same as models they replace. Analysts point that the replacement needs of the users of the iPhone 11, 12, or 13 series could still support the sales of Apple in the absence of AI. Expectations of sales boost from iPhone replacement demand are bullish for the Apple stock price. However, the current setup is bearish for the stock price.
